Stetson & Associates, Inc. is an educational consulting firm focused on educational excellence and systems change. 

Created in 1987, we have a 24-year national reputation for providing “cutting-edge” services. Stetson & Associates, Inc. has a talented staff of professionals who have served in instructional and administrative roles in general education, special education, and with other special populations, such as gifted and talented education, English Language Learners (ELL), and at-risk student populations. Our associates are former principals, central office administrators, teachers, coordinators, diagnosticians, and speech/language pathologists.

Our favorite assignments are those that we design with the client in direct response to their specialized needs!

Accomplishments

  • Designed a session in partnership with Texas Council for Administrators of Special Education (TCASE) titled, “The Great Education Depression: Doing More With Less.” Due to popular demand, this session was replicated eight times within a three-month period.

 

  • Selected to conduct a system-wide evaluation of services for students with disabilities and for English Language Learners for the Washoe County School District, Reno, Nevada.

 

  • Acquired the Inclusive Schools Network website from the Educational Development Center (EDC) to expand the promotion of inclusive practices worldwide (launch date September 2011).

 

  • Assisted the Clark County School District in designing the selection process and criteria for their Annual Inspiration Award ceremony.

 

  • Coordinated and facilitated a 17-year Evaluation Consortium of Education Service Centers in Texas providing teacher and administrator certification programs to increase the quality and diversity of teachers for Texas schools.

 

  • Requested by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Exceptional Children to conduct ten national conferences titled, “What a Great IDEA! Effective Practices for Children with Disabilities.” Conference locations included Phoenix, Houston, Philadelphia, Bismarck, Orlando, Columbus, Concord, Nashville, Honolulu, and Sacramento.

 

  • Served as Subcontractor for the ASPIIRE and ILIAD Partnerships, nationally funded by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs, on such projects as examining issues and developing tools to address disproportionate representation of monitoring students and a model of IEP progress.

 

  • Provided statewide models for inclusive education for the states of Connecticut and Florida, which included state level design, staff development for district leadership and teacher teams, and various State and Regional level capacity-building efforts.
