Cathy Giardina

 

Cathy has 30+ years in education, 20 years in public education with teaching experience at both the elementary and secondary levels. She spent 13 years at the district level as an administrator for a large mid-urban school district. As Director of Community-School Relations, she was responsible for the district's Public Information Office, Parent Involvement and Partners in Education programs. Under her direction parent involvement increased, and the program received state and national recognition. She also implemented a comprehensive community involvement program. Her district and staff were the recipients of numerous awards including the Texas Associates of Partners in Education award for Outstanding Business Partnerships and the Crystal Commendation from the Texas School Public Relations Association for Outstanding Volunteer Program.
