Event Description

Efficient, Effective, and Appropriate use of staff is the focus of this session. Participants will examine their current staffing practices within a framework designed to determine the level of efficiency effectiveness and appropriateness. A model for determining needed staff for students with disabilities will be showcased that is based on an analysis of student needs throughout the school day.  Students needs relative to curriculum and instructional areas will be addressed first followed by student needs for support from other individuals. An objective, student-centered process for scheduling the students to ensure that all personnel resources are utilized to the maximum extent will be provided.  Participants will leave the session with practical tools, and the necessary steps to ensure efficient use of staff.
