Alicia Swedberg

A Little About My Professional Career…

As a teacher and district instructional coach, Alicia Swedberg has 12 years of experience working with students, teachers and administrators in public schools. After teaching at the elementary and intermediate levels for several years, Alicia became a District Instructional Literacy Coach specializing in training all aspects of literacy learning including: Reading Workshop, Writing Workshop, reading in the content areas, and differentiating instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. She was also a District Instructional Technology Specialist dedicated to supporting teachers and administrators in the integration of instructional technology in the classroom. In addition to presenting at the local and state level on technology integration, she excelled in creating online professional development courses for her district. Having earned a Masters Degree in Instructional Leadership with a Specialization in Reading along with her online virtual instructor certification, Alicia joined the Stetson & Associates team in 2011 and has been a valuable addition.

When I’m Not Working…

I am chasing after my toddler, three pint-sized dogs or my very patient husband. In the little free time I have I love to read a variety of genres, try out new recipes and shop for just about anything.

My Guilty Pleasure is…

Eating any type of ice cream while watching reality television and tinkering on my iPad. Sleeping in late and snuggling with my daughter or wandering the aisles of Target or HEB all alone are close seconds!
