About this Webinar

One of the hallmarks of IDEA is the importance of developing meaningful relationships with our parents. The goal of establishing a district parent advisory committee is to build effective collaborative partnerships that will enhance and inform special education programs, practices, and services for our students. This webinar session will provide participants with a process for how to select members to participate in the committee as well as share ways to establish roles and responsibilities of the participants. There will also be resources provided to assist with engaging the members, including checklists, conflict resolution strategies for the team, and how to focus on systemic issues versus individual ones.
