A Little About My Professional Career...

Dr. Malechuk is an educator with 33 years of experience in the field. He recently retired from Katy ISD having served as the Executive Director of Special Education. Prior to KISD, he was an Executive Director in Spring ISD. He worked at Region 4 ESC as a Director of Leadership and a Director of Instructional Support Services and also was the State Director of High School Redesign at Region 13 ESC. He started his career in Houston ISD as a special education teacher and special education coordinator. He also works at the University of St. Thomas, Concordia University, University of Houston and Houston Baptist University in their doctorate and graduate programs in leadership, special education and research studies. He holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and special education from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, a master’s degree in educational psychology from the University of Houston, and a doctorate in educational administration and cultural studies from the University of Houston.
