A Little About My Professional Career...

Sylvia E. Fuentes has been an educator for 20 years. She is an accomplished leader, trainer and presenter with over a decade of successful, innovative experience in campus and central office administration supporting school communities in the urban sector. She holds a Ed.D in Educational Leadership (PK-12) and Policy Studies from Southern Methodist University and possesses certifications in various teaching fields in addition to Principal, Supervisor and Superintendent. She completed the Superintendency Program at University of Texas at Arlington (2006) and achieved Gallup, Inc. Certified Strengths Coach status in 2019. Sylvia has been recognized as a dynamic Turn-Around Principal for every school level from Elementary to Overage-High School including specialized work with Disciplinary Alternative Education Programs. A firm believer and practitioner of authentic relationship-building as key to the success of school communities, Sylvia is the first recipient of the Dallas Association of Counselors’ “Principal of the Year” award in addition to being recognized as “Principal of the Year” by the Association of Hispanic School Administrators of Dallas and was a Finalist for “Principal of the Year” with the Dallas Independent School District. A provider of personal and professional development opportunities for parents, teachers, campus and central office administrators, Sylvia has successfully presented at district, regional and state conferences nationwide.

I enjoy spending time with family and friends. Travel is a must!
