The Leadership Practices Profile

2-packetsThis session is designed for school administrators to support their role in providing leadership in the implementation of the least restrictive environment (LRE) requirement of IDEA. The requirement to educate students with disabilities in the least restrictive environment requires direction, encouragement, support, and a clear notion of those effective practices that result in benefits for all students.

The Leadership Practices Profile instrument is designed as a companion to the School-Based Practices Profile and is a response to the many questions posed by school administrators when planning their own actions to support the education of students with disabilities in the LRE. Use it as a self-assessment tool, as an administrative checklist, or as a reference guide when using the School-Based Practices Profile.
