A Little About My Professional Career…

Cathy has 40 years in education, 20 years in public education with teaching experience at both the elementary and secondary levels. She spent 13 years at the district level as an administrator for a large mid-urban school district. As Director of Community-School Relations, she was responsible for the district’s Public Information Office, Parent Involvement and Partners in Education programs. Under her direction parent involvement increased, and the program received state and national recognition. She also implemented a comprehensive community involvement program. Her district and staff were the recipients of numerous awards including the Texas Associates of Partners in Education award for Outstanding Business Partnerships and the Crystal Commendation from the Texas School Public Relations Association for Outstanding Volunteer Program.

When I’m Not Working…

Active in ministry at our church together with my husband of 48 years. Every chance we get, we are traveling to visit one of our three children and six grandchildren who all live out-of-state. I enjoy reading, dancing, flower arranging, and creative cooking.

My Guilty Pleasure is…

Snack foods and shopping for bargains.

If I Could be Anywhere in the World Right Now, it Would Be…

Relaxing on the beach in Laguna Beach, California, listening to the sound of the surf!
